OUR MISSION, VISION, AND GOAL
"Park 54" is inspired by the life and service of the men who served in the 54th Regiment - a volunteer infantry comprised of free Black American male soldiers. The regiment was established in Readville, MA, now known as "Hyde Park." Despite the backlash the men received for fighting in a "white man's war," each of them bravely risked their lives for the freedom and betterment of their families, community, and country.
Our mission is to continue the legacy of the historical 54th Regiment. We have created a safe haven where our beloved community of Hyde Park and the neighboring towns can experience the freedom, happiness, and fullness of self-expression the 54th Regiment fought for. Having only been open for less than a year, we have already accomplished this by offering great food, innovative libations, incredible music, compelling historical artifacts, and an inviting ambiance!
Tasha Hull - Owner
Tasha Hull is a native of Trinidad and Tobago but migrated to Boston in 1991 when her parents decided to move to the United States. Tasha grew up in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston and later lived in the Back Bay for over 10 years. Today, Tasha currently resides in Hyde Park and has been a resident there since July 2018. Tasha graduated from the John D. O’Bryant School of Mathematics and Science and the University of Massachusetts Boston. She holds a B.S. in Management and Marketing and a Masters in Education. Tasha has been a trusted real estate agent since 2004 and has been the founder and owner of a property management company - Hull Property Management - since 2011.
Additionally, Tasha has been employed by the Boston Public Schools as a special education teacher since 2006. Tasha is a fierce community advocate known for empowering and loving all with whom she comes in contact. Moreover, Tasha is known and beloved throughout the city for her incredible food and 5-star display.
